Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

Here was the family last year
I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

Didn’t one of the parent birds help a chick chip out of an egg last year?
Here's 022 feeding Bob #1, I think this is the first chance he got!
A question has been asked on another forum as to the type of fish that are being delivered to this nest. Does anybody have an idea of the varieties?
The fish caught from the harbour will be Grey Mullet, Bass and the occasional Flounder.
The fresh water fish will probably be Roach, I admit I haven't seen much else fresh water wise

Aw that’s great, thank you Wendy.
Bob #2 arrived this afternoon.
A view at 14.26
15.16 feed. 2 bobbleheads appear. #2 left, #1 right.
15.19 #1 bob fed well, #2 still very shaky
CJ7 tried many times to pass fish to #2. I’m not sure if any were successful or not. Some got stuck on its beak.

The plastic is a big worry for everyone watching. BOPH said they are keeping a very close eye on the situation and taking advice.
Both adults feeding the chicks tonight (sorry, it's a long one)
the plastic is awful!
It got a few tidbits early in your clip then missed out on most in the middle as papa didn't let go or chick didn't grab hard enough and then a huge dollop at the end went down
Nice idea but when both feed does it cause confusion all round?
