This thread is for Osprey nests that don't warrant a thread of their own, and for other raptor nests of interest, in an effort to keep Osprey threads to a minimum for the sake of other Community members.

Hancock Forum for very close coverage of the nest.
From KORKY's introductory post for the 23-24 SWFL season:
"This is the first season with M15 & new mate F23. F23 was first documented in the area Summer 2023 before officially bonding with M in October 2023. The original adult bald eagle pair, known as Ozzie and Harriet, had been coming to this nest since 2006. After Ozzie’s passing in the early fall of 2015, Harriet & M15 bonded in late fall of 2015. After eighth seasons as a mated pair, Harriet never returned to the nest in Feb. 2023 and M successfully raised their young E21 & E22 to fledge.' F23 has just laid her first egg dickpritchettrealestate.com/.../

F23 has 2 eggs and one appears to be about to hatch!... So I'm starting the new thread a couple of days early. I don't know who is currently incubating.

There was some concern over F23's feeding skills - lack of, but since then she seems to have improved and there's even been a dual parent feed, Lady Hawk has done a vid but I'm too lazy to find it.
Oh all right then, it's the least I can do!
Here are some views I did of the littlun:
Aw lovely, thanks Scylla, mum is so gentle with the feeding, she is such a big bird and the fluffball is so small. What happened to the other egg?
Edit, just read back, such a shame.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Apparently E23, bereft of a sibling to bonk, is practising on Mum & Dad

Thank you scylla. I just looked in after 3 weeks without a laptop and took a snap but your video is much better. Good to see this chick doing well

It's the first of the month but I've opened this RF box well in advance!

First the Bobcat, then a Coyote - neither catches anyone - but at least the Coyote has a drink:

The Evening Grosbeaks are there every day but I don't feature them as I'm not fond of them, which is shameful. They're quite interesting, actually, often quarelling and/or feeding each other:
More mystery morsels, donated in the afternoon with pumpkin seeds after the gusty wind had almost emptied the tray. No Jays or other corvids had turned up to eat them by nightfall, so they soon got scattered and covered by the little birdies:
