HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Have a good week, all!

  • PS -- Rusty, enjoyed your pictures. Especially the Skye bridge.

I'm sorry I've not replied to everyone, we seem to be at sixes and sevens here.

  • Pleased to say I have tested negative this morning. I didn’t cough in the night and feel quite a bit better. I will go shopping for food!!! I will still wear a mask though.
Hope Annette and family are OK in the storm.
  • That's good to hear, Rusty. I'm also keeping everything crossed for Annette - that storm doesn't sound good.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Great news, RUSTY !
I'm also hearing the storm news from SoCal. Hope ANNETTE and family will be OK...
  • Rusty - Hooray! Lines are great in the right places, but the absence of them at times is what you really want. I seem to remember when I had Covid I posted on here that I am normally a very positive person but was delighted to be negative!

Annette - Yes, I'm very concerned about the storm news. I'm not sure where you are in relation to the anticipated path, but hope it's a long way away from you and your family. Global warming and climate change are doing so many strange things to our weather patterns. Stay safe.
  • I enjoyed my little shopping trip. I treated myself to a coffee and sat outside in a quiet spot to drink it. Have to admit I bought some treats at Marks and Spencer’s!!!! Was tired when I got home though and didn’t unpack until after lunch. Just been reading since.
  • Hallo all: We were on the edge of the storm so just constant gentle rain yesterday; today it's much cooler than normal and cloudy, but things supposed to be back to 'normal' tomorrow. Meanwhile, in midst of everything there was an earthquake - 5.1in Ojai, about 50 minutes up the road. Granddaughter and I didn't feel it; we were in the supermarket (where everybody's phones went off) but Ms D (waiting in car) and OH (lolling in bed) did. What next? A plague of locusts?

Granddaughter and Ms. D now en route back to AZ, but parts of Interstate 10 may/may not be closed due to flood damage (conflicting info on CalTrans and CHP websites). Nothing like keeping everyone confused. I'm keeping tabs on situation online. OH physical therapy due here at 12:30 and I'm setting up all kinds of follow-up doc appointments for him.

Rusty: Glad you're testing negative and bought some treats for yourself. Hope you're feeling like your old self before long.

    Forgive rather self-centered posts! :-)
  • Annette - You have a lot to be self-centred about right now. And we have all been concerned, so it's good to get an update. I think the locusts come next - or is it flies??? And you most definitely don't want the boils ...
