Link to July 2023 thread
July proved to be a less nail-biting month than June. Brodie re-appeared early on the 1st and delivered fish (including flounder) to the nest every day bar 1 thereafter, with a record count of 7 on the 21st. Asha also fished and delivered a salmon on the 3rd, as well as quite a few sticks, not least one to replace the sticky-up stick on the nest that got removed on ringing day - 12th July. We have 2 boys, as only 7% of those surveyed had predicted. 2C5 (oldest) became Sid (Vicious) and 2C4 (youngest) is Harry (Nilsson). We had some cracking snaps particularly from the PTZ camera, a 2am fish, self-feeding started, and wing-flapping and helicoptering. Bets are on for a fledge or two very early in August. Sid is 58 days and Harry 56 days on the 1st of August

My thoughts exactly - leading to "Asha may have left" and is Brodie dealing with other intruders? Or what? No fish... doesn't bear thinking about but we will worry anyway.
I reported the nighttime flyabouts on the PTZ and intended to do a video but it will have to wait. Am going to watch a bit of The Yorkshire Vet to wind down.
Thank you again, CANUCK, and thanks to SHEILA for histories.

KL5 and the 2 boys were all active before nightcam:
Later, 2C4 withstands the Tawny Owl
Thank you Korky , I appreciated your response
Fish! 07.24. Both boys fly to the nest 2C4 gets it! Chat suggests Asha was the deliverer?

04:11 Harry flew in to defend but against who or what we could not see - what a relief to see him, still active but he may not be fully fit... 05:06 he flew off to the old nest area.
Back again:
They hung around until flying off to old nest area:

FISH #2 !!! !!! !!!
Morning everyone. What on earth is today going to bring. I am delighted to see Harry/2C4 is flying well and fighting for the morning fish too. I think it was he who saw off the owl too - a lot of white on the 'eyebrow'.
I think it was Brodie who brought the fish in. Long thin legs, and no sign of her pretty dot markings on her petticoat.
I checked my notes last night, but hadn't done a search of my 2022 timeline. Doing that I think KL5(20) might have paid more visits. I will try and make a comprehensive list, not that it's really relevant now.
08.21 #2 fish, again from Brodie!! 2C4/Harry was already on the nest nest waiting. No sign of Sid/2C5.
08.47 Harry seems to be mantling
08.48 It was short lived, and Harry downed the tail end.
08.50 Sid/0C5 landed, and called. Harry was picking up dropped pieces and cleaning his beak - a bit of a give-away Sid has missed ut!
.08.55 Harry's not a happy osprey. He lay down and watched the skies. Sid has his back to what has worried Harry.
08.56 Sid half drops to the floor, the starts calling and mantling. Harry calls, starts to get up but dropped to the floor. Sid kept an eye on an intruder.
09.06 The boys are still on the nest, looking more relaxed now.
Has anyone noticed what looks like an egg on the left side of the nest? Could it be the unhatched egg which was may have been disturbed by last night's intrusion.
It shows well here at 08.05
