Well, my three picks are certainly looking a little more promising. And at least they have all made the cut, even if one was only just! One at 60th, one at 10th and one at 2nd. And the cricket's been fantastic today. Should be a good weekend - pity I won't see it all ...

HEATHER: Congratulations to your grandchildren. Very impressive!!! I wish them well in their future endeavors.

Thanks all for your kind remarks ! I'm not usually in the habit of boasting about family achievements but when they have overcome difficult times I find myself wanting to share :-)

Heather - It's always lovely to hear of achievements. The world is full of miserable news, so something good like your grandchildren's great achievements is so good to hear.

Have had a very wet day- stayed in, and were lazy.

We can't watch the golf here, only the highlights. They've been affected by the weather, too.

No photos of our visit as have not been out much. My OH saw two seals in the sea near our beach yesterday.locals tell us that there have been fewer seals in recent years. It's the Irish Sea here, between Wales and Ireland. Some of the plastic rubbish on our beach looks Irish, such as milk cartons etc. which get washed across in the currents.

Here on our Site we have a wonderfully all pervading smell of buddleia which I love, as there are several huge bushes near us. Sometimes see butterflies flitting by.
