LM6 returned 4 April 2023
Egg No. 1 laid 20 April - Hatched 27 May (37 days)
Egg No. 2 laid 23 April - Hatched 29 May (36 days)
Egg No. 3 laid 26 April - Hatched 1 June (37 days) Sadly, this little chick died on 3rd June. It coincided with LJ2 having a leg injury and unable to fish at the time. I don’t know if this was the sole reason, part of the reason or something else. RIP little one
The family of 5 for a couple of days. Bob 3, RIP, in between #1 and #2
Four weeks later, our two thriving youngsters, #1 and #2 (36 and 34 days as at 01/07/23)

15.38 LJ2 brought in a live fish.
LJ2 initially held it. LM6 was on the perch but made no response. Mari wanted it though and LJ2 let go for her.15.48 The fish was loose on the nest doing somersaults
15.49 Mari managed to control it and was able to start her feed
15.5216.21
16.46 I think it’s now Dilys who’s eating the fish when LM6 arrives with another, headless this time.
16.48 LM6 left it on the nest and flew off.
16.49 you can see the fish more clearly here. The viewing is very obscured today,
16.59 Dilys drags her fish over beside the other one.
She drops her fish in favour of LM6’s fish and picks it up
17.01 Now she’s back at the original fish (LJ2’s one)
These youngsters are so lucky just now with food being plentiful on this nest. Both parents are providing well.
21.21 LM6 and her two girls.
Sunday 23 July
Good morning Mari made an early start to a leftover fish. 05.10
05.30 still eating
06.11 Dilys wanted to do her helicoptering. Her tail is just going out of sight here.
So good to have the PTZ camera on the nest too. Panoramic view and what a difference in clarity.
She’s getting such good height now, just needs the confidence to go.
Both adults arrive with nesting material 06.41
06.42
Pretty much impossible to make out! Left to right - Dilys LJ2, LM6, Mari
07.17 LM6 arrives with a headless fish. The 2 cameras are about 13-14 seconds out of sinc.
She eats a little then notices an Osprey fly past so quietly leaves the nest. 07.19
Soon returning to the perch. 07.35
Dilys decides to have some breakfast and takes the headless fish.
LM6 watches from the perch
09.12 Mari is now eating the fish
09.43 Hello Dilys
10.05 Mari looks to the camera now
11.16 LJ2 returns with the remainder of a half eaten fish.
He waits for a couple of minutes but no one shows any interest so he leaves with it again. 11.18
12.05 It’s pretty windy out there today. Dilys and Mari are lying low on the nest with LM6 on the perch.
12.34 and a wee leg stretch. At least it’s no longer raining and the cam lens is clearing up.
Both our chicks have just fledged!! Aged 56 and 58 days old
