Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

NC0 had been away from the nest since 21:05ish and returned at 22:26. PF5 was on the nest perch
PF4 landed soon after NC0 had - both youngsters were expecting a fish, unfortunately she didn't bring one with her
They looked at her empty talons
PF4 and PF5 were shouting for fish
22:32 All three of them were fish calling, could they see Laddie?
22:46 Laddie hadn't appeared
22:47 NC0 called and headed off, landing on the birch. She could be heard calling a short while afterwards

22:53 PF4 on the perch, NC0 still on the birch
23:05 NC0 arrived back at the nest for a very brief visit - the youngsters were very vocal, calling for fish
At present, 23:28, PF4 preening on the perch, PF5 sleeping
Fingers crossed there will be a huge fish delivery in the morning that they can all enjoy. I hope all is ok with Laddie.
Morning Glider and All
Laddie delivered a headless fish at 5:14.
Just beforehand, PF4 was quite vicious towards NC0, pecking at her and pulling her wing
As NC0 pulled away, she almost slipped off the nest
After NC0 had righted herself, PF4 pecked at her
All that stopped as their attention was given to Laddie's approach
Noise and chaos ensued as PF4 and PF5 went to make a claim
Laddie looked fully cropped
PF4 took it

PF5 didn't have anything to eat. PF4 finished the fish at 6:15, an hour after its delivery
8:12 ENS
Hoping that the fish rate picks up today - PF5 is hungry, he didn't have anything at all yesterday.

Morning Sandra and thanks for all the updates. Wonderful to read PF5 has fledged.
Hi Karen, your're welcome! Yes, it was great news yesterday, nothing stopping him now! lol
NC0 delivered a tiny fish at 8:33, PF5 was alone on the nest and PF4 was on the cam post. An easy take for him
PF5 shouted to say that the fish was his! NC0 looked up to PF4
NC0 left, PF5 began to eat
The fish almost went over the edge as he moved himself slightly
He brought it back onto the nest by holding a dangly bit of skin
This was pulled off and he ate that
PF5 then turned and swallowed the rest of the fish at 8:36ish
At 11:13ish, Laddie arrived to an empty nest with a large, headless fish
PF4 arrived from the birch area to claim it
She was still tucking in to her meal when NC0 first, and then PF5, arrived at 11:57
Scene at present, 12:20, NC0 fish calling and PF5 still waiting for his turn to eat
