Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

Morning All,
At 6:00, PF5 found, and ate, a sizable piece of fish missed by NC0 during tidy up last night
Laddie delivered breakfish (whole) at 6:32
Laddie's crop looked empty, hope he catches a fish for himself to enjoy
Dual feeding
Morning Sandra and thank you for the new thread. As always, so informative and a beautiful capture of PF4 and PF5 - perfect.
And thank you for the update, great to see a large fish delivered - Laddie really is on form and with NCO fishing too, PF4 and PF5 are being well fed.
Morning Karen, you're welcome! Keeping everything crossed here for continued success!
NC0 was in defensive mode at 8:20 when an unseen intruder was in the area
Laddie delivered a headless fish at 9:00, claimed, and kept, by PT4!
PF4 tucking in, NC0 looked somewhat bemused!
9:21 PF4 still eating the fish. I wonder how long it will be before NC0 makes a claim? She has eyed the fish on a couple of occasions
Ahh, there you go! PF4 discarded the fish at 9:22 - NC0 headed straight to it, PF4 decided mum could feed her instead!
After PF4 had eaten enough, PF5 decided he wanted to have his share too (9:28)
PF5 had quite a few pieces within this short feed before NC0 gave him the fish tail at 9:31
10:02 PF5's wing span
An intruder has been around
NC0 went off for a comfort break at 10:17. At 10:20, both PF4 and PF5 looked skyward
No alarm calls heard at this point but PF4 pancaked
Within a minute, NC0's alarm calls could be heard in the distance
She came back to the nest to defend
An intruder seen a few minutes later
She continued to be on alert and showed occasional defensive postures/alarm calls
Calm restored at 10:30
Fish from Laddie at 12:58 (I was unable to capture a decent pic of the fish itself)
Both chicks were fed
