Flora returns again from chasing corvids who probably have chicks on their nest too.
19.10 large headless fish delivery from HarryFlira takes it and has a few bites herself first
then commences the feed. Both chicks are up and asking with beaks open.
It is tricky to see as the black plastic obscures the view most of the time. I felt #1 chick naturally got the most and #2 managed a few wee pieces.
It is very windy up there and Flora soon settled down on the chicks again.
Great news of the 2nd hatch, Glider! Thank you
19.27 Harry leaves with the fish
and returns again at 20.37

The little bobs start calling. #1 gets fed. #2 is up and down, trying to control its movements.

It is indeed thanks Sandra.
It was a busy day today with Corvid harassment, Osprey intrusions and an egg hatch - I forgot to report that the brown plastic bottle fell off the nest too!
Wednesday 24th May
Early morning feed for the chicks. 05.18 Flora got up and left for a comfort break.
05.19 Harry flew onto the nest with the remainder of last night’s fish.
05.21 Flora joined Harry
She took the fish from him.
Flora ate a little then started offering fish to the chicks who were both up and ready.
She made sure they both had some.
05.26 Flora decided the chicks had had enough and dropped the fish.
She walked over to the nest cup to tidy up. She sat down twice before she settled down for a third time to brood the youngsters.
Harry had waited patiently. The fish was lying just under Flora’s wing. Harry made his bid to get it and pulled. Flora rocked as the fish was lifted.
05.30 Harry secured the fish and flew off for a meal.
The fish did a few feeds. Harry had some, Flora and both chicks. It was after 11am when it was finally gone.
10.36 This was the chicks’ 3rd feed this morning off the fish.
Harry brought in a live fish at 13.17
Harry and chick see eye to eye!
14.29 Another feed off the last fish.
Another 2 feeds and the fish was gone 15.30
