Some snaps from so far today. Flora chilling on the perch.
Incubation changeover
Good view of the 3 eggs
Magnified, it would be even clearer without the black plastic
️Flora brings in a stick
Another changeover, there’s been quite few.

A Corvid that had chased Flora up to the nest swooped down behind them.
It flew off and Flora then concentrated on getting Harry off the eggs. She picked up a piece of bark
Then moved a stick
Harry didn’t move. Flora waited for a bit then did her walk around him.
She then picked up another stick and moved it. Harry finally stood up.
Flora quickly moved to the eggs as Harry flew away.
and settled down on them.
Saturday 20 May
Been a quiet morning so far. 04.50 Flora was disappointed when Harry came to the nest without a fish.
Harry took over incubation
and it’s Harry we see when day cam comes on.
Flora is back on the nest and eyes the piece of brown plastic behind her.
She decides to move it.
She fiddles about with it for a few minutes
then gets up to turn her eggs.
She briefly settles then gets up to turn them again.
and turns to face the other way, away from the plastic for now.
07.42 Harry flies in to take over.
He’s getting a few winks of sleep. Sounds like the rain has started.
Flora is back and fiddling with the plastic again.
They swap again
and Harry takes on the plastic.
12.36 Flora left for a quick comfort break. A view of the eggs magnified.
Yes, I'm so jealous of GLIDER's magnifier - none of my various freebie softwares can do that.
I've not be monitoring this nest even tho I record it 24/7 - well, just now I checked thru some of the day and am horrifed to see the familiar trash on the nest
I will have deleted the footage showing any of it coming in, serves me right for neglecting it!
