It is a peaceful evening. LM6 looks like she has a good wind break in front of her. The nest has had lots of reinforcement pieces brought into it recently.
Just before 20.00, LJ2 brings in another piece of bark.
He drops it beside LM6 then lifts it in his beak to place elsewhere.
Whilst standing, LJ2 has a wee preen and a tail feather falls out into the nest in front of LM6.
A few minutes later LJ2 leaves
and lands on the post circled.
20.39 LM6 suddenly changes her position and gets up chipping a warning call. She flies off. More chipping can be heard as she goes.
She returns soon after.
and settles down onto the eggs. No more alarms for the evening.
21.23 night cam comes on.
Wednesday 3rd May
Good morning LM6 on the nest overnight with her usual comfort break for a minute at 4.20.
LJ2 came onto the nest at 05.14 to take over just after day cam came on. 05.45 It’s a bit brighter on the nest now. LJ2 still on the eggs.
LM6 pausing for a second during her big morning preen.
13.50 LM6 starts fish calling as she sees LJ2 incoming.
She gets up straight away to receive the fish.
It’s a wee bit awkward for LJ2 to release the fish as LM6 grabs with her beak.
They finally manage the transfer and off LM6 goes.
LJ2 settles on the eggs.
15.04, LJ2 nearly gets blown over in the wind as he incubates.
15.05 LJ2 takes off and hovers back down as LM6 arrives.

As she tries to walk towards the eggs, her foot is caught in the sticks.
She pulls
and pulls and manages to break free.

The PTZ cam operator caught LJ2 earlier, just after13.00, preparing the fish he caught which was delivered to LM6 at 13.50.
21.15 and LJ2 comes to the nest to give LM6 her last break before night time.
LM6 leaves the nest and flies straight to the water. She appears to dip her talons on her way away from the nest then turns and dips again flying back along the water towards the nest.
LM6 returns to the nest 15 minutes later at 21.15.
She settles down for the night.
Night cam comes on a few minutes later.
