.
After a start/stoppy kinda season, we now have settled couple "URM" (until LG give him a name) and Asha, or Mistle as some would prefer.
Asha is the proud parent of 2 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM, as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha.
URM and Asha are similarly marked but distinguishable by certain differences which I may slot in here but I've lost them for the time being.
Asha (R) is looking rather small in this snap because she's crestfallen due to no supper:
Because Asha did so much work on the nest before she had a partner, there hasn't been a lot for URM to do - but he has quite frequently brought in nest material - and his fish provisions have been regular and willingly handed over. He's a promising Osprey dad so far.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Chat says he was seen this afternoon when he came to the nest. Asha's not eaten for about 53 hours now. At what point might she decide to abandon the eggs and go fishing herself? There's talk of Brodie defending the nest from intruders including KL5 which may explain why no fish.
I didn't find Brodie in the afternoon and I've just checked Chat and don't see the say it was him but I'm bad at reading Chat.
According to me, Brodie was last seen mid-morning, and only briefly when he had to chase KL5.
KL5 was back post 21:00:

Asha has been alert since before 03:00.

She just did a burst of screeching...

Because:
Asha is chipping and mantling - someone is trying to land but she's flapped them off... chipping etc continues.
Someone's on the campost - I wondered where the scrabbling noise was coming from :-/
It's blue-ringed, and another osprey has flown by - Asha is completely outnumbered unless the other osp was Brodie.
I'm in packing-up mode and can't cope
EDIT
Someone landed on the nest, then flew - there's no-one with Asha now and she's quiet @ 08:10.
Asha has really been thru the mill but the intruders seem to have left for now - she's been calling and calling, surely she must be able to see Brodie but I can't.
Here is the one-hour intruder activity:
Asha is still calling intermittently, our hearts are breaking for her.
I'm away, SYAL.
