.
After a start/stoppy kinda season, we now have settled couple "URM" (until LG give him a name) and Asha, or Mistle as some would prefer.
Asha is the proud parent of 2 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM, as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha.
URM and Asha are similarly marked but distinguishable by certain differences which I may slot in here but I've lost them for the time being.
Asha (R) is looking rather small in this snap because she's crestfallen due to no supper:
Because Asha did so much work on the nest before she had a partner, there hasn't been a lot for URM to do - but he has quite frequently brought in nest material - and his fish provisions have been regular and willingly handed over. He's a promising Osprey dad so far.
IMAGICAT
Imagined intruder you mean Scylla, Asha didn't even look sky ward or notice anything so in my book this is Brodie making himself look a good mate. Well, rubbish mate,Absolute rubbish. If you want to look good , so get a fish for Asha.
And no, great capture Scylla but it's half a fish and mostly tail end. He's had the head and the best part of the body after FEASTING himself yesterday on all the fish and arriving fish less back at Asha's nest (NOT his note, he hasn't earned the right yet)
Fish formatting is working for me!
Thank you Scylla for the earlier vid. It's good to see Brodie being around today, and now he has brought in two fish. We can't complain about the size of #2!!
I have only got up to FISH No 2!. I've been gardening, and must go and pack.
04.53.32 Brodie arrived with the first fish since 15 May 18.10, over two days
as per Scylla's vid https://imgur.com/xBNwdxO
04.45.51 Asha quickly flew off with the fish
04.53.32 Fish from Brodie, the first fish since 15 May at 18.10 (as per Scylla's vid)
04.53.51 Asha flew quickly away with her tail end, albeit a reasonable sized tail end. But in terms of fish it was missing the bulk of the fish.
05.28 Asha returned
05.29 Brodie flew away and Asha incubated.
09.04.20 Brodie returned. Every hopeful, Asha got up calling. He didn't bring a fish, just a stick.
09.04.27 Asha flew off. Brodie incubated
09.21.19 Asha returned with a long thick stick, and contact peeps. She put it on the right rim, fish solicited. Brodie ignored her
09.22.55 Asha took off
10.12.19 Asha landed and Brodie flew off.
14.06 Having been quiet, Asha starts to call. Is there a fish in the offing?
14.18 Fish No 2, and a much larger one too. A whopper!!
I may have time to catch up later.

What !!! two FISH !!! I can hardly type much less speak
Bless you Sheila for your detailed account - I'm just, well, I don't know what I am just, but ...but .... but
Well at least he has proved himself today with 2 fish. He better up his game in a few weeks, when we have chicks on the go, never mind nowt for 3 days, we need fish every day, and most of the fish, none of this tail piece only. Got it Brodie Boy!!??
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
