After a start/stoppy kinda season, we now have settled couple "URM" (until LG give him a name) and Asha, or Mistle as some would prefer.
Asha is the proud parent of 2 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM, as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha.
URM and Asha are similarly marked but distinguishable by certain differences which I may slot in here but I've lost them for the time being.
Asha (R) is looking rather small in this snap because she's crestfallen due to no supper:
Because Asha did so much work on the nest before she had a partner, there hasn't been a lot for URM to do - but he has quite frequently brought in nest material - and his fish provisions have been regular and willingly handed over. He's a promising Osprey dad so far.

Thanks, WENDY - and I didn't think that video could have anything to offer that we hadn't seen already
I knew they had a direct link to the PTZ - when I asked about it they said they didn't have enough liicences to stream it but that if the nestcam got pooed on they could bring it online for us.
Cheeseparing, I call it
Earlier I saw WildlifeWindows say on Chat that the nestcam had been slightly repositioned this season in the hope of avoiding chick-squits.
Goodnight all xxx
Checking in before sleep. Late night. Tuned n to see this funny arrival of Asha with a stick who immediately smacks Brodie in the face with her behind, making him get up eventually. At least I think I’ve got them right…check it out. Good night!

I'm away for a while, SYAL
Asha had been calling for a while, presumably she could see Brodie, although I couldn't. it was a gentle call. No sign of Brodie so she took off for a comfort flight. She was gone a few minutes, and Brodie arrived just before she landed. He was already eyeing the eggs, getting ready to incubate, but she beat him to it. He took off, she incubated, and continues to call gently. I can't see him.
Isn't the PTZ on top on the tower? Let's hope they use it this season.
It's amazing how similar they are. I think it's down to minute details, and not easy to see if they are not standing together.

10:28 AM The RSPB Morning all, we have had another osprey flying around that we think is Brodie and certainly looks like there was an intruder earlier this morning.
She is quiet now, so perhaps he has gone for today's brunch.
FISH !!! !!! !!!
An unseen intruder alert from something-past-8 - from the screen'capture for the enhanced birdsong - IDs please? Plus a Woodpecker's in the background.

From the same source, for the sake of Asha's vocal reception - but the tagged on "Brodie" bit is from the download, for better resolution.
I am sure Scylla will be posting another magnificent vid, but in the mean time.
