Morning Karen, Glider, Bart and All.
Thank you for the updates looked in late last night before going to bed and was so upset to see that live fish! You think this nest is alright because the fish are so plentiful but the devastation a live fish can do.
Relieved to see this morning that they are all moving to varying degrees and pray that the fish is gently removed, they all lift their heads and Maya is able to resume normal feeding duties.
Was so worried up early too and took a few pics that will try and post although Karen you will have already covered fantastically thank you.

It seems that RF isn't working so can't post anything yet sorry !

Hi LAM - nice to see you posting. Yes, live fish brought to the nest are a worry!!

Any plans to visit this year? My brother is fishing Rutland next week so hopefully we will be treated to some photos from the water. Boats can only sail so far and more look down into Manton Bay as the nest is well protected as there is a ridge under the water and boats cannot cross. He usually sails that way and gets the binos and camera out and stays a while having his lunch watching them :-)

But please post you captures when you can - always nice to see other contributions :-)

Yes we do intend to visit but were waiting for the chicks to get a bit older as we have visited twice already but no action to report at all as so quiet! But quiet good as means all under control!!
Yes we see the fishermen in their boats from the hide and to be honest it does look pretty close but perhaps only same distance as the hide.
Hope your brother has a good trip and the weather is good.
Will keep a close eye on things today and hope by the end of it all is back on track! Last week the Lowes with stress now Manton just goes to show never such a thing as a text book nest..... It's all nature in the raw! To think we took this up to relax as a hobby goodness me it's a proper calorie burner what with no sleep and puts you off eating :-)

Oh such a relief the pike has been removed out of the nest cup and chick 4 can move freely. Now just needs a bite to eat please mum to give me some strength to fight my corner against these three big uns lol!
