HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a joyful, peaceful week! Happy holiday to all those who celebrate Sunday.
I may have baby Northern Cardinals in the nest on the side of my enclosed porch. The Cardinal pair have been back and forth to the nest constantly for the last couple of days. They usually have 2 broods in a season, so they start early.
I was also very happy to see that all my neighbors' chickens made it through the storms. The big red hen was glad to see me, too, and pecked my shoe.
Love to all.
Today, 50 years ago, at 3.00pm on a showery April day:
Me arriving at church with my Dad. It's our Golden Wedding today!!
We're going to celebrate by having a lunchtime feast at our Youngests, tomorrow.
Good morning all from a sunshine and showers Suffolk.
Many Congratulations Lindy and OH!
Many apologies for not posting but I try and read every day. I had my Son and family here all over Easter then on Easter Monday we all drove to Northamptonshire for my Daughters youngest - Luna for her 6th birthday party at a huge soft play centre full of over excited children and the noise was terrible. But they all had a good time.
Today I have 6 friends from Surrey arriving for the weekend - 3 staying with me and the others in Aldeburgh so Ill be busy.
To all those with ailments or problems - I hope they are short lived and you all have a good weekend.
CONGRATULATIONS LINDA & OH
I’ve been muddling around today. I did go shopping for OH (underwear), twins b-day (book each) but no luck with my flour sifter. “Helper” showed me sieves; apparently sifters are old-fashioned. OH’s favourite cake requires 1 cup each of plain & SR flour, sifted to mix and aerate. As she walked off, she declared “I don’t cook”.
Schools ended their first term today. Our city is crazy this weekend with football, umpteen matches in 4 days. Good for hotels, AirB&Bs, coffee shops & cafes. No interest to us.
Thank you for all the good wishes. We're just leaving to go & collect our cake which has been ordered. Didn't want anyone else to go to the trouble & expense of providing one.
Pat, the dress was quite simple really, it's all scrunched up in the picture as I'd just got out of the car.
Here is a better pic of it, with my OH looking somewhat sheepish! As we arrived, my dear Dad was so nervous he forgot to hold me back, and I almost ran up the aisle!!! :-0
