.News from Other Nests 2022
First, a fantastic resource for international cams given to us by LISA K last year:
Nature Chat
Last season we included Tweed Valley (cam not yet up), Alyth and others that I can't bring to mind right now. Let's see how this season goes before deciding which cams may now require their own thread.

We put it in Wildlife on the Web last season, BART - I'll start a thread but don't know how much I'll be able to contribute.
Thank you very much - shame I'm too late cottoning on to have caught the first hatch.
This season's thread.

They've got the right idea, IMHO:
The younger chick, the female who is Darvic ringed 732, will be called Ursula after the Disney witch, which seemed appropriate bearing in mind her behaviour so far.
Tweed Valley have ringed and tagged two chicks, and named them after Sacha Dench and Poul Brix of Conservation Without Borders in tribute to their work on Flight of the Osprey.
Blue 2E2 female Sacha and Blue 2E3 male Poul. Their tagged 2022 juvenile Glen 708 is still in Morocco, still fishing and roosting in the same area roughly east of the Canaries.
Twelve Scottish Osprey chicks have arrived at Marjal de Oliva-Pego in Spain, part of a translocation project run by Roy Dennis. The lady quoted in the news item, Itziar Colodro, a member of the Migres Foundation, is the same person who tried to get the Spanish utility companies to properly maintain their power lines after Loch Arkaig JH4 Lachlan's neighbour JH3 Pean was electrocuted on one in 2019.
Good luck to these twelve, hope they settle and prosper..
