Daily summary Tuesday 1st August 2023Four mackerel and an eagle - fortunately only the mackerel landed on the nest! Louis outdid himself today delivering four fish taking the tally to 323, as there were constant alerts and a Golden Eagle was seen prowling around the nest area. The eagle didn't appear on camera but we have LizB's excellent off-nest reports to thank for keeping us up to date, plus we saw the frenzied reaction of the family. After waiting for quite a while and trying to bite Dorcha for bringing a stick when he wanted food, Ludo LY7 got most of the fish when it did arrive. He seemed confused by one delivery of a live mackerel, starting at the tail end before eventually getting it right way around. A few songbirds paid a visit to Nest One as did Affric152 and Garry LV0, returning after a day's absence. However they arrived separately and didn't meet up, not on camera anyway. Still no sign of Prince, last seen on 21st July making a very brief appearance on Nest One.
