Sunday 25th 22.44
Ending the day with a late night visit from Louis. No fish or sticks, just arrives for a little chat
Monday 26th July 03.44.37
Louis delivered an early fish, even before day cam switch over - his 200th fish for the season, and also the earliest of the season.
Great observations and a lovely video Geemeff. Thank you
03.44.37 First fish of the day is a double record breaker: 200th fish of the season, and also the season's earliest
05.13.59 Fish number two arrives surprisingly quickly after the first one. Another large headless trout.
05.32 Dorcha departs and the chick's left alone with dad, watches his every move. Louis is oblivious, just carries on eating.
05.50 Louis doesn't take long to finish the fish, and and swallows the tail
08.00 Nest One Prince reappears, and sets off a dramatic 15 minute interlude involving all three players in the love triangle. I zoomed in on Prince as we don't see him often, and he was obliging enough to look full front, then show us both his left and right profiles. It will make a good ID reference for future sightings. The other two are ringed so of course much easier to ID.
Here's the sequence:
08.00.02 Prince lands
08.00.08 Affric lands with a fish
08.00.24 Affric departs with her fish, Prince remains on the nest, does a little tidying
08.13.09 Prince departs in a hurry - he can see Garry steaming in
08.13.25 Garry arrives, mantling after chasing Prince off the nest
08.14.12 Garry departs, nest empty after a dramatic quarter hour
