Saturday 10 June 07.50
LV0 tries and fails to move a foundation log - it's going nowhere, it's been cable-tied in place
Saturday 10 June 09.43 N1
Affric gets no response to her fish calls, flies to Stick Tree. I zoomed in as she flew off.
Saturday 10 June 10:46:29 N1
LV0 brings Affric a fish
Saturday 10th June N1 12.29
Affric has made it clear she doesn't want to mate with LV0 - he tries again and she leaves quickly . I zoomed in because at first it looked like he was chasing her off which made no sense, but I think it was a fly-in mating attempt which she avoided by leaving.
Saturday 10th June Nest One 14.30
LV0 arrives followed by Affric - another failed mating attempt!
Saturday 10th June 14:37:30
Louis brings a second fish - bob is more than ready, love how it does a bit of self-serving when mum's too slow!
Saturday 10th June 18.29.42
Fish number three turned up curled in Louis' talons
Saturday 10th June 20.44
Louis arrives and helps sort out the cot rails now that the chick is more active
Daily summary Saturday 10th June 2023
The day was warm and sunny until rain started falling this evening - in view of the wildfires raging nearby, that's not such a bad thing. Speaking of bad things, the bob threw another big strop today, pecking Dorcha and even grabbing hold of her feet, but it's all part of growing up and Dorcha merely moved away. The bob's growing rapidly now and Louis spent some time reorganising the cot rails. Fish featured today, Louis brought three to Nest Two taking the tally to 153 while over on Nest One, Affric was happy to accept LV0's fish but rejected all his mating attempts even though there was no sign of Prince, her mate since 2021, today.
Sunday 11th June No overnight disturbances.
