2022 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 13th March; NC0(16) - 23rd March
Looking forward to welcoming back Laddie and NC0 to this wonderful location at Loch of the Lowes. Will Laddie, in his 12th season, beat his earliest arrival date that he achieved last year? Will NC0, her 4th season, be heard before she is seen on cam? Could we see the return of their 2021 offspring, LR1 and LR2? Here's hoping they have safe, spring migrations so as to grace our screens once again.

20:32 Laddie off the eggs and left the nest. NC0 still on the birch
Edit: Laddie came back in well under a minute and settled back down on the eggs
NC0 made a short appearance on the perch (still with a remainder of the 15:51 fish) before heading off again!

Laddie still incubating as night cam came on at 20:57
NC0 returned at 21:02 to begin her overnight incubation. She did not have any remaining fish with her.
Incoming on the left
Cleaning her talons
Onto the nest
The cam angle changed. Laddie had a good flap of his wings before heading off to roost. Great job, Laddie!
He veered off to the left after this snap
NC0 at 21:23
Morning All,
An early break this morning for NC0 - Laddie arrived at 5:25 to take over incubation
NC0 returned at 7:10, such a sweet look from Laddie to her (dare I say, it was a tender moment?)
He returned with some grass at 8:45, spent a few minutes with NC0 before heading off again
NC0 at present (9:07), what a beautiful day it is at Lowes!
9:45 NC0 having a quick 'shut-eye' in the morning sunshine
I'm out for the day, will catch up later. BFN
Evening All,
A brief catch up with events I could find from this morning
Laddie took over incubation at 9:53ish. He had only been on his shift for around 5 minutes when he began to chip and look skyward
Suddenly, he lifted himself up and flapped as an unseen intruder passed over
He was straight back down onto the eggs
His long incubation duty ended when NC0 returned at 14:18ish - the cam zoomed in for a little while on her as she settled on the (unseen) eggs
NC0 has continued to incubate for the rest of the time, I can't find any other visits from Laddie.
19:30 NC0 is currently fish calling. Could that be Laddie on the birch?
Laddie delivered a fabulous headless fish at 19:54 - he had flown from the birch
She carried it in her beak...
...then leapt across the nest with it
She dragged it back towards her
Transferred it into her right talons
A quick pause
Then took it off the nest
The cam panned out to show NC0's clockwise flight over the Loch to the birch
NC0 had moved off that part of the birch at some point as, at 20:54, she was seen leaving the area marked, and made her flight away over the Loch
Laddie tracked her. She could then be seen zooming past behind the nest, heading to her diving branch of the birch
She could still be seen there at 21:00, just before night cam came on
NC0 came back to the nest at 21:05, still with the remainder of her the fish in her right talons
She released her grip of it before going to the nest cup
Laddie left and it appeared that he was heading to the birch to roost
NC0 settled (the fish in view)
