Ooh! Lots of long posts!

Good Morning. Nice to hear from you, OG. My car is old, too: not sure of its age but its worth a lot to me as it gets me about. We've run a lot of really old cars in our time going for older reliable types rather than new. Rather spend our money on other things. Sorry that J will have to give up his driving.

Rusty, you do get about and what riches you have in the way of birdlife! Lovely.

Annette: sorry about my various posts with attachments- they're things I've copied from the Internet but no idea why they come out like that.

AQ - Fingers crossed that you can get to your appointment in time. Buses are different in different areas here, some more reliable than others, I think. Many services being cut due to economics leaving folks in rural areas cut off.

We missed the wonderful skies again last night as we've had thick clouds here, but what great pictures are being posted of them.

The view from my chair right now: Camellia coming out and plenty of blue tits on our feeders. The bare tree is our apple tree which won't be springing into life just yet. But very handy for hanging up bird feeders where I can see them from both the conservatory & the kitchen.

My car is over 16 years old and I hope it lasts until I have to give up driving! I do not want a car payment at this stage of my life. My car still looks good and runs good. Last time I had it in for oil change the manager asked me to let him know if I planned on selling it as he would like to have it.

My Dad's 2002 Chrysler lasted for 20 years, until the frame finally broke and dissolved into a pile of rust. All I ever had to do was replace the battery a couple of times and repair a fuel leak. Oh, and I had to buy new windshield wiper blades, because the flock of Black Vulture birds stripped all the rubber from them! But that's not the car's fault. LOL
