SAD NEWS RE PATILY- MISS PATRICIA SELMAN

Earlier this evening I was sadly informed of the death, on Saturday evening, of the death of our dear Patily.

I hope further tributes will follow, as I'm sure they will.

Ospreys were Patily's obsession and despite her incredible disabilities she visited several centres.

She was one very 'gutsy' lady who I had the privilege of meeting at Rutland.

I am hoping I have more success with this post than the earlier one.

This illustrates the battles she fought.

RIP dear Patily.

dear Mike ,
I would like to thank you for your beautiful tribute to my Aunt Pat and all the wonderful years and experiences she shared over the years watching and meeting people who loved and adored the ospreys .
She will be dearly missed and is lovely to see all the photos and comments , during these sad times .
this is her niece Sharon , and if it brings comfort i am writing this comment of her Laptop xxx

pat funeral will take place at Golders Green Crematorium on 8th March at 11 am
We will also arrange scattering of her ashes at Loch Garten ,as she wished .

Thank you Sharon. If the service is to be 'live streamed' please post the details on here. The Crematorium will no doubt give you details of who provides such services but many use a company called Obitus for a nominal sum which enables people worldwide to view it on computers etc.

Sharon, I have just checked with the Crematorium and they do have the facility and in fact use Obitus. Your Funeral Director can arrange it if you so desire.

I love the idea of Patily''s ashes being spread at LG. I don't know when I may be able to visit again, but I know I will remember her, and think of her flying with osprey above.

She will be with EJ. Neither of them could be in better company.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
