HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH
I hope everyone has a joyful week.
I saw a female turkey in a tree today, the wild woodland species, not a domesticated bird. She was huge and beautiful!
To the north of this, a really huge cliff glowers down and all the clouds gather around it.
We loved the wildness - there is a tiny town there and we managed to get a cold drink.
The road then stretched out across the island as we went inland again, getting lost in the process!!
Then, as we came to a crossroads and confirmed where we were, we saw the strange white sculpture I showed you before.
A general view across the landscape. Towns are dotted around, some large, most of them tiny hamlets.
A view of the odd way they grow their grape vines - each one is in a hollow, with a little wall around it. That way it's kept watered by night time condensation when the temperature drops. There are many Bodegas or wineries in this central region.
We stopped by the roadside and found a very neat well kept church.
It even had a garden with some tended shrubs and roses.
