A good friend admitted that she is guilty of the car clock idea -- hers is only right 6 months of the year.

I was going to settle down and study on here, at which point I had left off showing our holiday pics -- I have forgotten which was the last one. Then I will begin again at that point. But we just had to dash off to collect the car from the garage, and now I'm making us a cuppa - and the iron is beckoning. It might be tomorrow, but I will get onto it!

(The car passed its test so we only had to pay for the test and a yearly service)

I'm delighted that my car has a little button, a bit hidden away among the other clever gizmos, most of which I don't use, which is marked summer/winter. And it changes the clock instantly. But in the past I have spent many frustrating hours trying to get the clock to give the right time. Some gizmos are useful! Several of my friends have cars that only tell the right time for half the year ... And the clock on my oven is really easy to operate. But I still like the way the computer and (so-called) Smart television change themselves - two jobs I don't need to do!

Okay, ANNETTE, slapped wrist for me (no sorry that is also not PC!) - will change GGson to “not right” rather than “wrong”! Both are subjective statements anyway – soon we shall not be allowed to communicate at all about anything! UK is very short of ministers for churches in all denominations – and no money to pay them or train new ones. Our current man is not our minister, but does more for us than the 25% guy we had before – he is properly described as an “interim moderator”. We also sadly lost a lady who was taking a monthly turn on the rota – sudden mystery illness and death.

We do wonder whether he has been "affected" (am I allowed to use that word?) by being a "Covid baby" - was 18 months old when first lockdown happened here.

OG: :-)) I have the same frustration with some pc terms; it's all too much and I can't even keep up with the ever-expanding list. I guess we just have to be grateful we're not important enough to make the headlines.
