HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a joyful, serene week.
I've read all of your news. I have a lot of important tasks with time deadlines weighing on me right now, and I can't seem to summon much energy to do them. I'll catch up with you all soon.
Take care of yourselves. Those in the U.K., stay cool!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO DIANE
Hi all, not been on for some time. Away the last two weekends and trying to catch up with one thing and another.
Not going to read back for the full week but hope everybody is feeling well.
Was in Worsley last weekend, which is my home village. Looked up my brother and some old friends. Went to the Lancashire Mining Museum at Astley and also up to the Trough of Bowland. Had a lovely weekend and am posting one or two pics.- 1at one is of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Hills in the distance.
The three after Morecambe Bay were taken in the Miners Cottage at Astley, followed by the tearooms at Dunsop Bridge and the Bridge itself in the Tof B. The last two are of the spot where we stopped - so peaceful and tranquil right by the river which was more of a trickle. By the way, the Miners Cottage was built by Robert Shaw who designed the sets for Peaky Blinders. He fell in love with the site and of what they are trying to do - preserving the history of the area for the next generation.
