It's been a tough time to watch the cam, Sandra. I kept wanting to yell at both Axel and Asha that their lovely number 2 chick has died. Asha even went over her when Axel brought in the fish y'day.
It was funny watching to the resumption of the cam. Axel (we were told) landed on the dead tree, and seconds later 1C2 landed on the nest. The Brave boy called and mantled. Was this against those bad people to climbed up to his nest? Or didn't he recognised Axel initially.
12.24 he just called, not mantling
He lay down and called. He is there now, calling intermittently.
13.03 Axel left the dead tree and flew over the nest. 1C2 lowered on the nest and called.
13.05 Asha has returned, fishless. Asha and 1C2 are low in the nest. Intruder? There was some calling, but it didn't last long.
13.09 Asha and 1C2 lower, mantle and call, looking intently to the right.
13.11 A stick from Axel!!
