link to JUNE 2022
1st fish of July 2022 arrived at 07.34. Not too shabby an effort! Headless trout delivered by LJ2 whilst LM6 was off the nest. She soon followed on to collect the fish.
It looks like it was a nice calm morning.
LM6 and the chicks got a couple of feeds off this fish before LJ2 took it away. He returned with what was left at around 10.40.
LJ2 started eating it on the nest. Chick #2 came to see if it could get any and LJ2 gently fed it a few pieces before finishing it off.
LM6 brings in a small pike at 12.53 after having left the nest 11 minutes before.
KA9 is hungrier than X6

Thanks Sheila. Yes, last year was quite shocking and for these two to return this year and raise 2 beautiful healthy chicks, I felt their story had to be told.
And we’re back online 15.14 KA9/Gelert standing.
16.32 and LJ2 delivers a stick much to the chicks’ disappointment!
And here’s our handsome boy, KA9/Gelert over at the camera side today.
The chicks haven’t spent a lot of time here in the past so it’s good to see a closer view of them today.
He does some wingercising whilst he’s here.
Approx 20.00 LM6 visits the nest. The chicks are screaming at her for fish.
She leaves and returns around 20.50 with a small live fish.
Both chicks are straight over and grab the fish together
They both pull to win the fish and after a few seconds, KA9/Gelert lets go and X6/Olwen takes the fish.
The fish transfers then to KA9/Gelert as the chicks pancake when there is a lot of noise coming from their corvid neighbours and he sees his opportunity to take it,
KA9/Gelert munches into the fish for a bit when X6/Olwen decides it’s time she had her share. She moves over to her brother and strongly tells him that in his ear and so he lets go and she takes the fish.
A short time later, LJ2 arrives at the nest with another fish which LM6 takes.
The 2 females eating together.
Both fish are finished as darkness falls and LJ2 calls by to say goodnight.
23.22 mum and chicks settled down for the night.
Tuesday, 26th July
Good morning all. It looks quite calm on the nest this morning, not much wind.
Today the chicks are 55 and 53 days old (X6/Olwen female and KA9/Gelert male respectively)
06.03 A snapping sound is heard and both chicks look to see an Osprey flying towards the nest.
It is LM6 and she lands on the nest with a twig.
She drops it then walks across the nest to collect a fish end she has spied.
KA9/Gelert is over straight away followed by X6/Olwen and LM6 starts feeding Gelert.
LM6 then releases the fish to the chicks and it is X6/Olwen who manages to take it.
KA9/Gelert watches as his sister eats her breakfast.
