link to JUNE 2022
1st fish of July 2022 arrived at 07.34. Not too shabby an effort! Headless trout delivered by LJ2 whilst LM6 was off the nest. She soon followed on to collect the fish.
It looks like it was a nice calm morning.
LM6 and the chicks got a couple of feeds off this fish before LJ2 took it away. He returned with what was left at around 10.40.
LJ2 started eating it on the nest. Chick #2 came to see if it could get any and LJ2 gently fed it a few pieces before finishing it off.

Oh no, I didn’t even notice!! That’s a shame. There’s very little chance of her being id’d now when she’s on her winter’s break. Good for you spotting that AG. We’ll just know her now by the one silver ring.
Unknown said:Oh Glider - what a wonderful beautiful capture , thank you so very much for posting it (I have copied it of course to my Llyn Brenig folder so hope you don't mind)
Of course use the photo Cirrus, my pleasure. Great that you have a Brenig folder, I’m not that well organised! Glad you liked it.
Friday, 8th July
Around 07.25 X6 exercising her wings again.
She suddenly seems to have grown a lot!
I’ve scrolled back a few times and the first fish delivery I can find is at 13.10 and it’s tiny!
Magnification of LM6’s blue darvic ring lying in the nest as spotted by AG.

LM6 does her best to give both chicks a good feed! KA9 in the foreground.
LJ2 has been nest defending this morning as well. Here he joined LM6 around 10.00 chipping and mantling. LM6 joined in too.
17.40 At last, another fish and a better sized one at that!
LM6 gets a good hold of the fish in her talons
19.37 another nice fish, headless from LJ2. As he approached the nest the stream stopped and when it restarted, he was on the nest.
LM6 collected the fish. X6 to the left and KA9 the right.
KA9 turns and moves closer in for a feed.
21.04 and LM6 finishes off the fish, swallowing the tail, the 2 chicks contented and resting.
