link to JUNE 2022
1st fish of July 2022 arrived at 07.34. Not too shabby an effort! Headless trout delivered by LJ2 whilst LM6 was off the nest. She soon followed on to collect the fish.
It looks like it was a nice calm morning.
LM6 and the chicks got a couple of feeds off this fish before LJ2 took it away. He returned with what was left at around 10.40.
LJ2 started eating it on the nest. Chick #2 came to see if it could get any and LJ2 gently fed it a few pieces before finishing it off.

Fingers crossed it’s back up tomorrow. Can’t wait to see the chicks with their new “bling!”
It looks like the chicks have their rings but I can't work out the numbers, I'm on a pesky mobile at the moment.
Not sure if this will show at least one of them.
Try as I might I cannot get a grab of the other chicks ring but strangely (to me) it seems to have 3 digits unlike the other one with 2 digits.
The two digit looks like 'X6', in your pic, Jane.
The rings seem to be X6 and KA9. KA6, KA7 and KA8 are the 2019 brood at Clywedog. KA5 is Roli, the 2019 chick from Llyn Brenig. X3,X4 and X5 are the 2016 Clywedog chicks, X7, X8 and X9 are the 2017 brood from ON4. KA9 and X6 are not listed on UKOspreys so probably available rings held by a ringer in North Wales.
UPDATE
Report from LB. They believe X6 is female and KA9 is male.
Thanks for that Jane. Looks like the camera cam back on around 09.38. I’m scrolling to try and get some ring shots. Found this one - KA9 (put my magnifier on it). Of course, don’t know which chick it is!
Thank you AG. Just seen a post about naming of the 2 chicks in the Osprey Facebook group. I’m saying nowt
Edit I can’t do a link sorry.
