link to JUNE 2022
1st fish of July 2022 arrived at 07.34. Not too shabby an effort! Headless trout delivered by LJ2 whilst LM6 was off the nest. She soon followed on to collect the fish.
It looks like it was a nice calm morning.
LM6 and the chicks got a couple of feeds off this fish before LJ2 took it away. He returned with what was left at around 10.40.
LJ2 started eating it on the nest. Chick #2 came to see if it could get any and LJ2 gently fed it a few pieces before finishing it off.
Around 18.10 a bigger fish delivery. Looks like a pike.
LM6 collects the fish from LJ2. No dropping it this time!
Cam still frozen. Went down just after 19.45. I was looking on the Brenig ospreys’ facebook and they’ve announced the chicks are getting ringed on Monday. I had been wondering if they’d be ringed towards the end of next week but it will be the beginning. They will be 33 and 31 days old then.
Live stream will be off air from around 06.00 until later that morning.
Sunday 03.07.22 - 06.47 Good morning and we’re still frozen. Wonder what the little ones have been up to since last night?!
Service resumed at just after 08.00 looks like a lovely calm morning.
And we’re frozen again since 09.52. Prior to that, LM6 and the chicks were having a good old preen with the sun beginning to flicker through.
I’ve been out all day so just catching up now. The new live stream only goes back to 13.34 and at that exact moment, LJ2 brought a fish to the nest!
I think it may have been a flounder. Couldn’t get a good view.
I’ve just managed a better screenshot of LM6 picking the fish up and it’s definitely a flounder!
20.51 headless fish delivered by LJ2. The cam froze as he was approaching the nest, when it started broadcasting again, LM6 was holding the sizeable fish.
22.37 settled down for the night. Big day ahead tomorrow for the chicks, they just don’t know it.
