Brand new, Korky :)))
I had to say something - not naming the chicks almost seems like punishment.
Packing up time definitely, not a threat or a promise!

SheilaFE said:Not naming the chicks???!!! They have been named since EJ and Odin paired up in 2009, with names pertinent to the area. Hills, lochs, lochans, etc. There are very few public nests which don't name their birds. We'll just have to wait and see see what they decide.
In 2008 the eldest chick was called Nethy and the 2nd one Deshar. The one that died was unofficially named "The Wee Yin"

Patrick Preston is in his 17th year as a volunteer at Operation Osprey. Every year he writes a poem, this year we have decided to put it on the blog. ENJOY
DESHAR'S LAMENTWho’d have a bigger sisteryou wouldn’t out of choice. She’s pushy and she’s greedyand she’s got the loudest voice.
I used to have a chancewhen I was second in the queue. But after titch gave up the ghostthose chunks of fish were few.
She’s only two days olderbut she thinks that she’s queen bee.“I’m bigger, better, nay – the best, just follow after me”.
“I’ve flown across to that old treewhy don’t you have a try?”“Give me some space to flap my wings –I’ll show you I can fly”.
When I can fly I’ll learn to fishbefore she gets the knack. Then what I catch I’ll eat myselfand not bring any back.
When she gets older and comes backto find herself a mate. He’ll be hen pecked all the seasonbut I’ll leave him to his fate.

Asha spent the night on the perch again, she descended to the nest @ 04:42.
I can't find a fish this morning but there's definitely been some eating/feeding going on - a new fish I've missed or a leftover? 50/50
Cam went into a signifying buffer @ 08:53 - we await developments most eagerly
