HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a safe, healthy, fulfilling week. Take care of yourselves.

  • HARELADY - enjoy your partial retirement !
ANNETTE - Thinking about you and the family - is your daughter going to move to California at some point ?
LINDY - empathise with decision to be made regarding Tatton...
OG - I hope that you managed to get out for your family lunch..
  • Lindy - I love the quote. Listening to a friend is the best I think. Mind you, a glass of red would help too!!!
Yes. Annette, thinking of you as always.
Heather. Obviously no further news of your brother yet?
The sun is trying to come out here but I need to grass to be much drier before I can attempt to cut it. Meanwhile I will continue with my indoor “to do” list if I don’t get distracted by the cricket like I did yesterday!!!!
  •  No news about my brother regarding lab results but he's in pain, hungry and sleepless. I think if he could eat and sleep he'd be happier. As for food, they have to hear bowel sounds before he will get solid food - that's normal. But who actually enjoys a hospital stay ?

  • Heather: Yes, but everything is on hold right now.... Hope your bro gets to eat at some point - and sleep.
  • Quiet on here, as often is on a Saturday. I hope your brother gets to eat soon, Heather.

Mixed weather here, again. Went shopping without a coat on this morning, but now its so cold I've been sitting with a blanket over me! July!!!

  • Speaking of dreams.... I had a vivid dream the other night. I told my OH about it on waking. We were escorting some of our family, plus someone else's young children, on a countryside holiday. We walked a long way. Then the weather turned bad, with driving rain & wind. We sought shelter by knocking on a farmhouse door. The farmer said we were welcome to use a fishing lodge, down near the river. He gave us the key and said that we might need to clear out a few things before we could settle down for the night.

We opened the door. There were only two rooms in the small building. One of them was full to the rafters with hundreds of umbrellas. We told the children we would give them something nice to eat if they helped us to set to and clear it. From somewhere I dragged some large cardboard boxes, and we packed the umbrellas in these. Then we put the boxes onto a boat on the river and they were taken away. However many we packed though, there still more and more umbrellas! I said that I was worried as the other room in the building was also full of fishing rods and tackle which would be more difficult to deal with. I began to stress about the children and the wet weather. I think I woke up after that!!
