,, what appeared to be a half eaten rainbow trout! No doubt Scylla will be able to get a much sharper image than me. All this happened about 5:45. It was as stiff as a board. When was that delivered?
Afrer faffing around getting images 1 of them has come back to the nest and is incubating - can't tell which.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

17.27 Axel returns with the fish. Mistle is screeching, but doesn't get up to take it. He occasionally tries to feed Mistle but she ignores him. So he feeds himself on the nest. Finally he pads around to the side of her, and she tries to grab the fish while sitting down. This leads to her getting up and grabbing the fish, losing her balance, and feeding the chicks again. Axel flies off.

I’ve been up in Scourie, Sutherland since 11th June and the winds have been awful, up to 50mph gusts. I’m not sure if the East of Scotland is quite so bad but I think any fish caught and delivered is a first class fishing effort in the current conditions.
