All quiet on the Osprey front. Mistle started gently food soliciting, then quiet, then stood up to reveal.........
,, what appeared to be a half eaten rainbow trout! No doubt Scylla will be able to get a much sharper image than me. All this happened about 5:45. It was as stiff as a board. When was that delivered?
Afrer faffing around getting images 1 of them has come back to the nest and is incubating - can't tell which.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

How many cocktails did that take, CRINGER?
17:35 - Axel flew in with a headless fish which I can't find reported - it didn't look like a return - Mistle already had a leftover on the nest. It was windy, here's what went on, somewhat inconsequential, but...
Excerpt from windy feed attempt:
Axel's been in and out quite a lot. Here, he took away the fishtail @ 19:30, three minutes later he was back with nothing! Hang on - is there a little something in his right foot ???
That stick needs to go! I doln't know whose fault it was, but suspect Mistle's own. aah
.
I looked for the corvid in vain - it could have been Axel doing a circle before coming in to land ???
He chilled on the nest:
20:30 - Mistle had a one-minute flyabout - she was looking over towards the old nest area a lot... then she watched a rainbow:
Axel ppped in for 10 minutes @ 20:04 - did he glance down at deer again?
CRINGER - I didn't find the episode you saw with Axel trying to feed non-existent chick - sorry
Now I shall worry all night because there's no fish for the morning... which is right up my alley, of course.
