Just as we had hoped, the middle of May proved to be a wonderful time with three successful hatches. Laddie, with his prolific fishing skills, is providing extremely well for his family and NC0’s attentive feeding for all three Osplets, is an absolute joy to watch! Let's hope everything continues to go well.

At 22:18 Laddie arrived with a very small headless fish. He flew off after leaving it on the edge of the nest
The fish was flipped onto its non-wilvery side when NC0 disturbed a stick it was resting on

Cont'd LP8 showed aggression to LR0 (who had managed to eat the piece that it had) after NC0 fed the younger one
LP8 had some of LR0's feathers in its beak
LR0 did eventually receive some fish from NC0 after edging its way around to the right side of the nest
LR0 wrestled with NC0 to take the small fish Laddie had delivered
LR0 turned away
LP8 found the small fish and proceeded to self-feed at 23:00
A whopper of a 'live' perch was delivered by Laddie at 22:03
NC0 had left the cam post calling, she must have seen Laddie flying from left to right above the Loch. She made her approach back to the nest, Laddie continued to the right before coming to land with his catch

30 June
04:32 NC0 flew out to the birch, back @ 05:01, off again @ 05:09. up over the cam this time. I don't think she's been back since. The chicks have been toying with nest material, currently at rest.
Good morning Scylla and all,
Thanks very much for the vid showing the two deliveries yesterday evening Scylla!
Around the time you stated this morning, LR0 (left) found the remainder of the small second that both chicks nibbled from last night. It began to feed from it
LP8 then took over and self-fed
LR0 took the fish back
And finished it off
7:39 NC0, LR0 (left) and LP8 still waiting for the first delivery of the day
An early start at work today. Will check back later this afternoon. BFN
There were a couple of unseen intruder 'events' today. Laddie joined NC0 on the nest for the first one just after 10:40. She was the one mantling/alarm calling and more concerned rather than Laddie.
The second was at 12:50ish. NC0 was on the cam post screeching then flapped onto the nest where she continued to chip/mantle for a number of minutes.
I can only find one fish delivery, that came at 13:40ish.
LR0 (back, centre) claimed the fish!
LP8 (centre) went over to try to take the fish, LR0 mantling over it
Aggression from LP8 on LR0
While that was going on, NC0 grabbed hold of the fish
NC0 feeding LP8
Then LR0 managed to get a bite or two
NC0 gave LP8 (left) the fish tail
But it was successfully stolen by LR0 (back, centre)
