Laddie (LM12) and NC0 have continued their excellent partnership from last season, not only with the incubation of their three beautiful eggs but also in defending the nest, and area, from intruding Ospreys.
During the middle of this month, all being well, we will witness three gorgeous chicks hatching and being lovingly cared for by their wonderful parents. Here’s hoping that fine weather, abundant deliveries of fish from Laddie, as well as NC0’s feeding skills, will see the little ones thrive.

New blog from LoTL about an intrusion at the nest on the morning of 25 May by Blue AE, better known to many as Rothiemurchus, who was satellite tagged by Roy Dennis in 2009.
Wow, thanks for the news, AG - I never knew Rothiemurchus but have kept hearing his name over the years.
IMAGICAT
Equally good news is that there has been another fish delivery (15:31), headless this time.. There have been multiple feeds throughout the day and all chicks have eaten extremely well! It has been VERY windy at the nest today!
These from the 13:34 delivery that Scylla informed us about. It was a 'live' fish that flapped onto chick #2. The scene before Laddie arrived - #1, #3 on the right and #2 nearest the cam
Laddie landed on the nest with the fish
When he released it from his talons, the fish flapped onto the chick. NC0 quickly retrieved it
Chick #2's wet wing
No harm done and it joined in with the feed afterwards once it had turned around
To #3
That fish had been completely eaten after a subsequent feed for the chicks at 14:50ish
15:31 Laddie with a headless delivery
NC0 feeding #1 - #2 was still dozing.
To #3. By this time #2 had woken up and joined in
#2
Laddie left the nest
#3
And so it went on...

Laddie came to the nest at 17:00ish and collected the fish that NC0 had left on the side
He returned with it around 25 minutes later
Another feed for the chicks. #1 left, #2 centre (being fed) and #3 at the back

Laddie flew a moment after this:
Back with a fish that i don't recognise - but that's not unusual. It wasn't possible to get a better shot, it's already been passed to NC0 here.
Thanks Scylla. I think that the fish is a pike. Before this it’s usually been trout and perch that Laddie has brought to the nest.
18:35 Laddie can be heard chipping very close to the nest. I wonder if he's on the cam post? Alarm calling at 18:36
