Many thanks to AG who wrote this preface to the Llyn Brenig thread for us (below)
Llyn Brenig is a reservoir on the border between Denbighshire and County Conwy in North Wales. It is managed by Welsh Water; the osprey project is a partnership between them and North Wales Wildlife Trust.
One pair of ospreys raised a single chick here each year from 2018-2020. Neither of this pair returned in 2021, when the nest was taken over by 2 Scottish birds, LJ2 (male) and LM6 (female), both 2018 chicks. The nest was vandalised the night after LM6 had laid her first egg; while the two could not continue to breed they did stay close to the site until normal migration time.
A new nest has been erected in 2022 with additional security and a streaming camera is in place. A new hide has also been built.

What dreadful weather they are enduring today but fantastic fishing in horrendous conditions, as a large fish has just been delivered. There was still a tail piece on the nest edge.
Scrolling back it looks like terrible conditions today. I agree, LJ2 did well getting that big fish earlier.
At 19.20 LM6 got up off the chicks and moved to the edge of the nest to retrieve a fish tail, probably the one you mentioned Jane.
She fed the chicks but our view was blocked by her body. At least the rain has stopped but it still sounds windy.
A fish has been delivered on what looks to be a lovely morning. She is blocking the view so cannot comment on chick feeding.
They have both just had a top up (9.20 ish) from a tail end.
I’m not quite sure where or when this piece of bark arrived, for me this cam is like watching CCTV, 5 second intervals. I’m not complaining I hasten to add.
Fish delivery 12/12.15, both getting fed.
