All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
29 April
A little bit of the lunchtime fish's to-n-froing, and Mistle downing the old tail (the second one we've seen her find) from the nestcup. Very uncomprehensive.
.
Given the time now, I doubt I'll be here for the get-go.
IMAGICAT
Axel was in for mating 05:04.
She has been sitting in the nestcup for a long time, contact calling - but now it's demanding fish.
She's back pottering in the nestcup again now.
Now on the perch calling. That didn't post - just as well, cos she's on the nest now.
IGNORE THAT
It was Axel on the perch and nest, then suddenly Mistle crash-landed from the right. Since then, Axel, I think, has left.
Goodnight all
Mistle in the nest cup, calling for food. Axel pacing, having a fag. Could it be today?

FISH!!!! 11.45am Axel flew in with a large deheaded fish, Mistle took it and quickly and flew. Good boy.

The capture isn't half as funny as WITH the annotattion!!! Or...maybe it's the other way around, LOL!

I love that Axel is using Odin's Low Perch under the old nest. Maybe he senses the history... 12.24 Mistle returns the fish, he's eating it on that perch.
