All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Correction on the Norwegian comment from Valerie.

11.56 he returned with a sticky stick.
12.00 another attempted mating, and a very half hearted very slight raising of the tail, and he flew off.
It's all very confusing as I am watching on my tablet AND my laptop, so I can read the chat comments, but the times are nearly two minutes apart.
12.02 Axel arrives with another very sticky stick. The cup really needs some clearing up. The poor female is dithering around on the piles of sticks rather than a decent cup.

Alison, who we know on here, in days of yore, and volunteers at LG, posted on a closed FB page earlier, and I have her permission to share it. I love the photos of the nest! Thank you for letting me share it.
LOCH GARTEN nest - It was so lovely to be on protection duty at Loch Garten yesterday evening and to see the “new” nest with some osprey action around it again. We were treated to lots of stick and bedding deliveries from male Blue AX6. At one point he headed straight towards us, flying right over the top of the hide heading towards the Spey. Around 19:45 we heard a loud skydancing screech right above our heads and he came into view with a fish!! He seems to be doing everything right so fingers crossed he manages to attract a female osprey.

It's not for want of trying, both in nest making and in mating!
He flies away and either brings a stick or to attempt to mate, bless him!
It's looking good, so far! But one thing I am surprised at is why she is holding on to the fish on the nest. Is this an indication she hasn't bred yet. It is unusual to see that when there are no eggs or chicks.
