All the HISTORY of Balgavies Loch Ospreys can be found at the start of the 2019 THREAD.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

The nest failed in 2020 and 2019 but the new male KR3 and Unringed female returned in 2021 and raised 3 chicks.

Oh dear I see we are back to the 1st of the month complete slow down of this website. It has taken me 30 minutes to get on and post, probably another ten minutes added to it for this to actually post.
Anyway great news is that there are chick/chicks at Balgavies Yeah!!!!

It looks like Balgavies have only one chick this season, one is better than none I say Darren sent me some fabulous photos from his visit yesterday.
The nest photos are fab considering when I was there in April I could hardly find the nest through my binoculars from the hide let alone take a photo of it.
Sorry not to have been around much this season, hopefully will be next year.
