I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

I've only just noticed the intrusion of Poole Harbour #2 - sorry everyone - I've left the posts there rather than delete them and leave Korky's post looking strange.

We might have an egg, I'm just tryng to fix the laying and whether I've really seen it.
I'm not sure she knew what was going on - I'll leave it to Geemeff to do the official version:
EGG number 1!!!! Dorcha has laid an egg! Laid at 22.05, good look at 22.08

Lots of squeaking up until 22.05, so I'm going with that time.

Great vid and photo Scylla, yes you definitely saw it - what an occasion! Now, two more please - next one 27th - Tawny please stay away!
Zoomed version of the arrival of the first egg - Dorcha gives a shake of her tail at 22.04.55 which I think might be the moment of laying, then she stands up and the egg is revealed at 22.05.30. Middle bit edited out, there's another good view at 22.07.23 and a much better one at 22.08.40 when she adjusts the position of the egg with her beak.
05.03.57 Osprey tries to land, Dorcha startles and raises up, Osprey flies away. Louis? Yes, Louis. 05.07 skydancing, 05.08.22 Louis lands 05.09.33 mating, 05.09.49 Louis departs. Don't think he noticed the egg!
