I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

06.55 A little Robin visits
10th September 10pm. The sun has set on this year's season. No big birds seen or heard on or off the nest camera today, looks like they've gone south. Wishing you fair winds and plenty of fish, Louis and Sarafina. We hope and expect to see Louis in April, and will hope for a sighting of Sarafina or any of the other nine Arkaig chicks some day.
There were a few visitors today besides this morning's robin.
More little birds pay a visit 09.14
Hoodie on the perch 09.27.15
Polite little visitors knock before entering 17.51
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Thank you for all you've done thru this tough but exhilarating and heartwarming Arkaig season, GEEMEFF

11th September Well, this is it. George says both Arkaig nest cams will be kept on, light permitting, through the winter until taken down for routine maintenance in early spring. So another season over, another two chicks fledged and on their way south. Louis is now dad to ten, six with Aila of beloved memory, and four with Dorcha. We've seen two since leaving Loch Arkaig, fingers crossed for more sightings.
