I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

Is today the day? Snow on the nests, but definitely better weather. Meantime, the Blue Tit was back for his regular morning raid.
Can you hear me whooping from the tree tops, or is this old news? Rannoch was seen in Senegal on 23 January this year!!!!!

Congratulations on posting any link from a tablet, SHEILA, I am in awe - and thank you for bringing that wonderful news! I wonder why it took so long to filter thru?

Rannoch was not only sighted in Senegal but determined to be male!!
This was posted on the previous thread. The ID took a while, it was clearly a JJ but the third character couldn’t be read easily, so with male plumage speculation thought it a 7 making it Captain but finally confirmed by Roy Dennis / Tim Mackrill as a 2 therefore Rannoch. And a gender change too!

Two nests and no Ospreys - oh the anxiety! But Louis's a later arriver, must keep calm
