I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

I know, that was amazing - aren't we lucky she was still in cam view before the mist swallowed her up?

Two fish from Louis this morning, the girls might be trying to fish (well, Sarafina for sure) but dad's still the expert. By the way, another youngster's been confirmed fishing - Threave Ospreys female chick is catching her own fish so dad Black80 has mainly stopped providing. Threave confirm it's definitely that way round, he was still delivering but she decided it was time for DIY.
That's three confirmed in just a couple of days, makes me think it's a much higher number than we realise.
This morning's two fish:
06.47.23 Fish number one, flapping BT, Willow gets it
08.45.05 Fish number two, whole BT , Sarafina gets it
15.38.19 Fish number three, whole mackerel. Sarafina flies in just ahead of Louis.
18.18.03 Fish number four, whole BT. Guess who
(Clue: it’s the noisy one )

That was youtube! for some unknown reason.
Have re-recorded, and believe me, the noise needs turning down - just shut up and eat, Sarafina!

Monday 29th August 2022 No sign of Willow this morning, last seen departing the nest with her fish at 06.30.01 yesterday 28th August. I think she has taken her packed lunch and headed south. Louis brought two early fish this morning, breaking his fastest fish record for this year, again, and she didn't turn up. We shall see!
Last sighting of Willow yesterday, presumed to be the final sighting of her at the nest.
Today's first two fish - Louis broke his fast fish record for 2022, and also his fastest nest to nest time -
only 7 minutes 25 seconds between those two fish, he departed at 06.10.20 after delivering the first fish so the nest to nest time is 7 minutes 19 seconds
A new record for 2022 but still a long way short of his all time nest to nest record:
5 mins 23 secs on 31/5/2020
06.10.14 Fish number one, headless BT
06.17.39 Fish number two, tiddler BT
