I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

Lovely pics of the "intruder", Geemeff - let's hope it remembers the nest for next season.

Yes please Scylla! Would love her? him? to come back. Any thoughts on gender? Forum thought female so that's what I've gone with but thinking could just as easily be male.
06.26 Big breakfast arrives! Fish number one, whole whopper, flapping Silver Tourist
10.44 Fish number two, headless Brown Trout, arrives. Note how C1 takes it off Louis! And then both chicks have a go at self-feeding

A wee update from the Bunarkaig nest:
I was speaking to Chaddie today and he tells me there is definitely at least one chick on the nest. It's been seen popping its head above the nest rim on multiple occasions but never more than one head at a time. There may be more than one chick but difficult to say at this stage. I had a look today but only saw the adult sitting in the nest cup. Hopefully late next week it/they should be the size ours are just now and a bit more mobile on the nest, so chances of seeing them should be better. Will keep you posted
16.37.51 Fish number three, small whole Brown Trout. C1 has noticed how small it is and moves in with a low under pass to make sure of a share, C2 is right there and they're beak to beak. Dorcha dishes up evenly.
