Can I be so bold as to start this new thread for the most iconic Osprey nest in the world?
Hopefully if the season progresses the way all of us would like it can be changed to a monthly, weekly then daily threads!
Question: are we having a sweepstake for the first confirmed sighting of a bird on the nest this year? If so I will get my prediction in now - 21st March 7.53 am Osprey without a fish.
We can only hope that we shall be able to witness it ourselves via a camera rather than having to read a report.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
What a lovely story CRinger, my goodness certainly a date to remember, the Capers, Olive and Henry, memories.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Not sure you need to worry about listing daily guesses for us, Catlady--better that you get whatever rest you need after a long day at work and stay well. I expect most will remember which date they chose and if not, we can always go back and examine your list earlier in this thread, about the middle of page 10, at least on my laptop. Don't know how it appears on a phone or tablet.
Kind regards, Ann
CRinger said:I have often been asked which is the MOST memorable. A difficult choice....... but this morning I decided. 6th April 2003. What happened?
I've only just found a really quiet moment to read your story, CRinger - how I enjoyed it! Tearfully What a magical morning

Hi Catlady - I may as well have a guess too - I will guess 1502 hrs 15th April, merely because its a date that means something to me.

Aww how kind of you Ann, thanks. Grabbing a quick few minutes. Remembered I have a Zoom meeting tonight, Normally they are on a Tuesday so fits in with not working and going into town at night but to do that on a working day is another 20 mile round trip into town and home again, so at least with Zoom, I only have to go to another room, so goodness knows when I would have got onto the site. Shows the same on my tablet, page 10. I will try and remember.
