2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Afternoon all,
Catch up:
A large, headless fish delivery from Laddie at 11:10ish
Off to the birch
Laddie incubating
12:40ish Laddie rose from the eggs and, for no apparent reason, left the nest
Eggs were alone for a little over a minute
NC0 returned from the birch. Hopefully, she had eaten all of her fish

Catch up (con'td):
14:42 Laddie to the nest with a stick
NC0 struggled to get up and unsure if the spikey bits on the stick got caught on her wing feathers
She headed off to the birch
The cam zoomed in as Laddie was rearranging the new stick
Checking the eggs
Laddie was alarm calling and quite unsettled at 16:07ish. He rose from incubation, chipping/flapping/ alarm calling
He moved back to the nest cup, still vocalising. Alarm calls could be heard in the distance
Still chipping
He settled again
He stood up after giving a few contact calls and flew from the nest at 16:15ish
Cam zoomed in on the beautiful eggs
NC0 returned
16:56 She continues to incubate
Laddie had taken over incubation at 19:25ish to give NC0 a break. No fish delivered. Just prior to NC0 arriving back at the nest (20:11ish), she could be seen flying from the birch and into the dark trees to the left of it. She came back with both sets of talons full of black twigs/leaves? I though she was wearing skis! lol
Cam zoomed in
Laddie left the nest
I think it's the same leaf material that Laddie brought to the nest on 17.4.22
Laddie came to the nest for a 2-3 minute visit at 21:16, he had flown from the birch
Preparing to leave
Almost at the lower birch area to roost
All the while he was there, NC0 was giving soft vocals
Morning all
Laddie took over incubation just after 5am
NC0 returned at 5:55ish with both sets of talons full with clumps of nesting material
7:32 NC0 incubating.
BFN
I've had a very quick scroll through footage since this morning and the only fish delivery I can find was at 15:07
Laddie flew to the nest with the headless fish from a lower branch of the birch.
NC0 off to the birch
Laddie still incubating at time of posting
Latest blog:
Updates from Week 3 of Osprey Watch at Loch of the Lowes
Another headless fish delivery at 19:10
NC0 carefully made her way around the back edge of the nest to retrieve it
She flew off to the birch feeding post
19:56 Laddie still incubating the eggs
NC0 returned, with a small stick, at 20:40
21:43 NC0 resting
Good morning.
Laddie arrived at around 4:52 to relieve NC0 from her night duty
6:02 Laddie headed off after NC0 returned
7:00 Laddie to the nest with a stick which he placed on the back right edge.
He stayed with NC0 for 3-4 minutes
7:43 NC0
Edit: Laddie returned at 7:48 with some moss. He took over incubation
