2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Laddie was on the nest for several minutes with NC0 at around 15:12, both were on alert. Laddie chipped on occasion
Laddie went off to check their area
15:52ish NC0 stood up and called, presumably to let Laddie know she wanted a comfort break
Her wish was his command
Off she went

NC0 came back to the nest just before 16:50
The strong wind helped Laddie soar into the air
Glider said:Yes, I was super excited being there on the hallowed ground! I saw both NCO and then Laddie on the dead birch preening themselves whilst the other was on the nest. There was a kite hovering on the thermals high above the loch and a heron flew by the hide as well as the swans and ducks on the water. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
Oh my goodness, what absolutely stunning photos and great descriptions, Glider! Thank you so much for sharing - what a wonderful first experience you had!
I'm so sorry I didn't reply earlier, I'm not receiving up-to-date notifications and so missed all your fab posts/comments that you'd posted prior to mine

A slight foot tap on Laddie's wing from NC0
Laddie starting to rise from the eggs
She was fish calling before he flew off
20:54 She continues to fish call. Laddie on a low branch of the birch
Laddie flew from the birch and headed left, around the corner, at 21:09ish

I couldn't resist cropping this pic of NC0 that I took at 21:21
Glider said:Aw thanks Sandra. It was the first time I’ve posted photos online so had to Google what to do!
Lol - well done!
