Start of a new year so start of a new thread.
I have changed the title slightly.
It could be a momentous year when, hopefully, our resident Ospreys return.

Quite a long video, but a record of the sequence of events today for a historic fledge. 5H2 seemingly not impressed with her big sister!

Super video, ALISON, in difficult circs on this cam! Sheer coincidence that I started going thru today's footage and couldn't keep track of who was who doing what but it looked like a fledge, so I just came here to check and you've done all the hard work

Thanks, scylla. I was going to do all sorts of useful things today, but ended up glued to the webcam!
Sunday 24th July
Good morning all. Some good helicoptering by 5H2 there, just before 10.00am.
Nice photos of 5H1 on Birds of Poole Harbour’s twitter feed earlier today.
17.35 022 brings in a half eaten fish, both youngsters grab it with their beaks at the same time and pull.
5H1 wins. CJ7 then moves in to take the fish and aggression is shown by 5H1, pecking at CJ7’s head.
5H2 then makes an unsuccessful attempt at grabbing the fish
5H1 still eating the fish
This morning's 10-minute close-up of 5H1 had 5H2 practising in the background - and Dad (I think) chased a Magpie:
Aw nice one Scylla, thanks. Great video.
